8182012

Wow! It is already Saturday again. This week rolled on through. Though that is a good thing. Teens week went well. A little bump in the road with parking, but as I suspected all squared away by yesterday. :)

Teen really liked getting out early Friday so he and dad could golf. Golfing now. Hey! What ever floats your boat. They are actually out again today golfing, so I have a nice and quiet day. One class he is taking is Home Repair and Maintenance. That will come in handy. :) Today for a matter of fact he replaced the spot light on garage and replaced a light switch. You go on with your bad self.

I have still been doing well with eating and exercise. Though my mom had me out eating way more than I like. (Well I like it, don't get me wrong, but not sure help with weight loss) I managed to walk 3 out of the 5 days this week. So that was a PLUS. Tomorrow is weigh in. I didn't drink as much as the Fat Flush water (I hate that name I may rename that .. lol) this week but I still did drink it.

I am proud I am still soda free. I have been ordering water when out. Haven't had the Kool-aid, crystal light, nadda, in the house. Either the FFW or Plain water for me. :) I am very proud of that.

So this past week goals were:
  • Walk at least 3 times this week.
  • Drink Fat Flush water 4x
  • Continue the Skinny Ms. soda Challenge.
  • Work on Cleaning Office some more
  • Clean out hall closet
  • Work on washing the hoodies I have left all summer.
  • Work on ScrapBook on MixBooks

Goals for this week. I think I will just keep continuing on with the same ones, and add a couple new ones.

  • Walk at least 4 times this week.
  • Drink Fat Flush water 4x
  • Continue the Skinny Ms. soda Challenge.
  • Work on Cleaning Office some more
  • Clean out hall closet
  • Scrub Bathroom Down

So we will see. My mother is going back to Dr. on Wednesday to see when they will be scheduling her surgery. So Plans might get all whacked out of place. So we will have to see.

Until later ..

Senior Year

Yep! I can not believe it. When I started this blog he was in 5th grade and 10 years old. Now 12th grade and 17. Crazy. Where did the time go?

So yesterday he was out of school by 10:33. But today was a tad later. So looks like A days are 1/2 days, but B days will be almost full day. Well guess better than nothing.

All quiet so far. Let it stay that way. :)

With Niece #1 back in school and teen in school was able to get back to walking with mom. So both days walked. Tomorrow I will be walking with DH (CDD) or by self.  We will see. I think he will bail, but its okay. I will go alone. ;)

Water hasn't flowing as easy. I need to work on that. PLUS, mom wanting to eat after walking each day isn't that wise either. ROFL.

Heat is due to roll in next 2 days. I hate having to close up house. :( But hopefully just for the next 2 days. Still not as bad as the summer with 100+ degrees. Just high 90's.

Tomorrow brings already the middle of the week. Woo Hoo!!

Updating the week.

So this past week goals were:
  • Walk at least 3 times this week.
  • Drink this 3x day for at least 3 days this week.
  • Continue the Skinny Ms. Challenge.
  • Work on Cleaning Office

Goals for this week. I think I will just keep continueing on with the same ones, and add a couple new ones.
  • Walk at least 3 times this week.
  • Drink Fat Flush water 4x
  • Continue the Skinny Ms. soda Challenge.
  • Work on Cleaning Office so more
  • Clean out hall closet
  • Work on washing the hoodies I have left all summer.
  • Work on ScrapBook on MixBooks

So I lost little over 3lbs this past week. I can only think the water helped. So I will continue drinking the water, but I will be adding other beverages to the mix. ;) I finally had to give up wearing a few of the shorts I had been trying to hang on to. They just were not fitting right anymore. I started to put them in the donation pile, but I am afraid to turn them loose. So I packed them away. I am really trying to fight off buying new clothes yet. I dont want to have to keep replacing. So I think I will just live with baggy clothes until Spring/Summer 2013. All new clothes for the trip. ;)

Tomorrow school starts again.

Snoozy Saturday

It amazes me how much our weekends have changed now that teen is older. No more crazy running around like mad, where did the weekend go, weekends. I can't tell you the last time we had ANY plans on a weekend. You would think I would miss it ... I dont. Not yet at least.

This is the last weekend before school starts. Senior Year. Man did time fly. I remember the first day of Kindergarten. Now here we are 13 years later. lol

I spend all week drinking the fat flush. I can not wait to see if it helped along any weight lost. I was very good about recording annd keeping track this week. I really wish I had been better at exercise. But I did work on all my goals and can not ask for anymore than that. :)

Weather has been wonderful last 2 days. Low 80's. I am so glad the 100's are a distant memory right now. I hope we do not see them again this year. :)

Well off to enjoy the rest of my day. Doing nothing. :)

Middle of the Week .. going to quick!!

So Sunday I set some mini goals for myself. Hoping to do better with items I want to accomplish.

So far ..

Goals for this week.
  • Walk at least 3 times this week.  <--- Twice so far. I have had other things to deal with couple days. Tomorrow should be better. Still to warm to get out so I can only get to Mall, and I have to be in & out before 10. So that is an obstacal
  • Drink this 3x day for at least 3 days this week. <--- I am currently day four. It has been a joy. Makes me want to drink more water. The first batch was too much mint, the second probably had a little more cucumbers than should been, but it was okay.
  • Continue the Skinny Ms. Challenge. <--- Still Soda free & honestly. I do not miss it. There is actually soda in frig right now and I have not even given second thought.
  • Work on Cleaning Office <--- I actually did get to part of this. Still needs some TLC, but after seeing my moms office I am not that all upset with mine. LOL

I actually am looking forward to my weigh in Sunday. I am excited to see if the FAT FLUSH WATER (that I renamed cucumber water for Niece #1 purposes) has help nudge my stall. I also have been doing better logging into My Fitness Pal . Recording my foods, and exercises so I hope I start seeing results again. I really am hoping to hit my goal by May 1. But we will see.

I can only do what I can do, I can only get the results I put in. So if I dont do the work, like I did all summer, I cannot expect changes. ;)

Someone post a quote on MFP that I thought really put things in perspective:

"Obsessed is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated."

So with that I will close for today. I have niece #1 over while Teen & my mom clean out her room. She is a pack rat and can't ever throw things away. lol .. School starts tomorrow for her. They had to dig the room out so she could even get to the bed. lol. Crazy!!

Sunday August 5, 2012

Updating the week.

So this past week has been interesting.
  • Registered the boy for Senior Year.
  • Boy cut finger at work.
  • Cleaned out cabinets in kitchen (a couple more to go)
  • Dropped another 2.2 lbs.
  • Remained Soda Free
  • Bought a size 10 shorts. 10!! I could not believe that one. (I am chalking that one up to way they were made) Still just a teeny, tiny snug. But totally worth the $2 ($10 off coupon plus tax free weekend) I paid for them.

Goals for this week.
  • Walk at least 3 times this week.
  • Drink this 3x day for at least 3 days this week.
  • Continue the Skinny Ms. Challenge.
  • Work on Cleaning Office

So I made the Fat Flush Drink last night before bed. I have finished first glass and can already say I used to much mint. So that I will reduce next time. Plus after I made it I found a video of Kim Lyons making it. I will be revising what I left skin on and what I did not. But other than that it is really good.

School is only 8 days away. I am really hoping for a quiet, drama free, school year. :)

**********
So I ended up getting my butt in gear this morning and walked. I also started on Office. So Sunday was a productive day. I also drank the Fat Flush Drink all day. Needs some tweeking. Next time I will use less mint. Also will adjust like I mentioned above. :)

One Year Post Surgery

365 days. 1 year. 52 weeks. 12 months. About 13 cycles.

I goes so fast. I can not say I have had 1 second thought. I wish I had done it years ago. I truely believe insurance, doctors, woman themselves should have the option once you are done child baring, or if you have made the choice to never child bear, to have the surgery. I have totally been so much happier. Not having that wonderful joy showing up every 28 days or less and being very miserable. :)

So here is to my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY .. to the best desicion I made in 2011.

Also happy to report I have not had any other medical problems since the surgery either. Which just proves my point even more there was a connect between the two problems I was having.

See Goes to show sometimes we know our body better than doctors do. :)

Day 2 Soda Challenge, Cuts, Hospitals, Oh My!

I no sooner post this Soda Challenge post and I get a phone call from teen.

Me: Hello
Teen: Mom
Me: Yes
Teen: I have some bad news
Me: (to self do not panic .. do not panic) Yeessss
Teen: I cut my finger at work, they are sending me to hospital.
Me: Ok. You are right to drive?
Teen: Yep.
Me: Ok, I will meet you there soon as find a ride.
Teen: I am on way to pick u up.

Okay so that was at 10:32. We were not seen for many moons after that. :( Busy night. Here is where I thought was the DOOM of my Challenge. There was no water. None to be bought. None in cooler for those waiting .. nada. I am dying of thirst. Teen brought me he thought was a diet, it wasn't. :( I took one sip and the sugar taste about knocked me over. That was it. I never drank anymore. My sister works behind hospital we were at. So when she went on break she brought me a refreshing drink. ;)

(Note: I decided I was not counting that sip against my challenge & I am moving on)

The cut really wasn't that bad. But work eh, what ya going to do? lol. When we finally at around one was placed in a room. It still wasn't a quick thing.

See how not stopping the texting & playing on phone? Yeah! what I am saying. We did not need to be there. They did end up gluing the flap back together. Thought that was that and we would be on our way. WRONG. Work Comp was on way to do a Pee test for Drug Screen. Bad news, it would be an hour, hour and a half before they got there. Head ---> Desk.

We finally got out of there at 4 a.m. I was not a happy camper by then. Way past this old gals bedtime. Teen is staving. I am starving. So he grabs the quickest Fast Food. I tried picking something I thought would be ok.

(When I went to log it this a.m. I was NOT happy with the calorie count .. noted .. just cuz you are in the drive thru do not cut corners and not look up the food you are putting in mouth.)

Lesson learned on that, next time it is all teens working night shift, do not let them tell you they need medical care. LOL

Aother thing. I have learned to grab charger for cell. I need to also add jacket or sweater. I end up ALWAYS freezing. lol. I am learning. To many hospital trips.

So that is my update ...

August: The Soda Challenge

August: The Soda Challenge
I decided I would take the Soda Challenge this month that Skinny Ms. is hosting. This challenge is done on a “good-faith” basis. No contracts involved. It is simply a deal you make with yourself.

I have done excellent on NO regular soda. But I still have a small crutch for the Diet. So I am going cold turkey. I will do this for the 31 days, and hopefully continue on from there. So here is to Day 1.

I really need to get back moving. I have really gotten side tracked. Still watching, counting, and such on calories, though I could do better.

I know this is what I want. I know this is my goal. I know I will be very upset with myself if I let myself down and do not continue on to my goal.

I want to have lost the last 22# (at least) by April 30, 2013. That is the LEAST amount!! I am hoping for more. So I really need to start kicking my ass in gear!!
