CYLONES BREAK OUT THE HEAVY LUMBER IN POOL PLAY
THE CYCLONES BANGED OUT 13 HITS, TAKING JUST 3 INNINGS TO BEAT THE STL SHOCK IN THE OPENING POOL GAME OF THE RAWLINGS INVITATIONAL TOURNEY AT CVAC.
THE 16-1 FINAL SCORE WAS NOT INDICATIVE OF THE MOMENTUM BUILDING THAT WAS STARTED IN THE SECOND INNING. SOUND DEFENSE BEHIND GEORGE'S PITCHING LIMITED THE SHOCK TO A SINGLE RUN, STRANDING 3 SHOCK RUNNERS.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE GAME MAY HAVE BEEN THE BACK-TO-BACK BEAN-BALLS. CHANCE AND MILLER BOTH TOOK ONE FOR THE TEAM, EARNING EXTRA RBI'S IN REWARD.
THE SECOND POOL GAME IS FRIDAY EVENING AT 6:00, ON CVAC FIELD E2. A HEAVY TURNOUT IS EXPECTED, LIKELY TO BE STANDING ROOM ONLY. GET THERE EARLY TO GET A GOOD SEAT.
RECORD
Affton Tourney: 0-3
Bridgeton Tourney: 2-1
Columbia Cowhide Classic: 4-1
Ozzie's Super Series: 0-3
Rawlings Invitational: 1-0
Pond League: 4-0
OVERALL: 11-8

You Gotta Believe
I believe ...
I believe hitting a round ball with a round bat is the hardest thing to do in all of sports.
I believe in the sacrifice fly.
I believe that Astroturf should be outlawed.
I believe that pitchers should buy catchers lunch.
I believe batting practice makes perfect.
I believe Lou Gehrig's birthday should be a national holiday.
I believe Tony Gwynn sleeps with his bat.
I believe the squeeze play should be taught in public schools.
I believe that no one is bigger than the game.
I believe somebody, somewhere, believes in the infield fly rule.
I believe it's time to sing "Take me out to the ballgame."
I believe domed stadiums are great ... for motocross.
I believe that "Field of Dreams" and "Bull Durham" are two of the best baseball movies ever made.
And I believe the two greatest words in the English language are "Play Ball"!

No more posting for me
I deleted my last post. All the comments were scaring me and I didn't like it. I do not know to do with the comments.
But I have had enough classes at school, and lessons about internet from my mom and dad to know do not post nothing personal to people I do not know.
Though I will say one must know my mom and must have not been notified. Sorry. I will let my dad know.
SHAME on ALL OF YOU FOR SCARING A CHILD!!

Snow Day .. Snow Day ...
We FINALLY got a snow day this year. I am so glad. Then to have it attached to the weekend ever better plus.
Then only down side is my mom is not here to enjoy it with me. I really miss her. She really made things special and I never really realized it.
Hopefully she will be back soon. I keep hoping. Baseball isn't the same without her by my side. Sure .. all the people who pitch in to help out me to get to practices and such are really grreat. But mom made everything done to the most everyday things speical.
Well off to shovel and salt. I hope nothing else gets cancelled today. Practice last night was cancelled.
Maybe I will start my own blog, it is fun. But bloggin here at my mom's makes me feel at home.

I miss ....
So many things right now and I could not even begin to list them all. But if I could have my mom back .. it would be beyond great. I would even give up baseball to have her back.
I MISS YOU MOM!!
I LOVE YOU!!
